Hello! I'm Hopie. The photographer behind the lens. I'll keep this section short and sweet, because honestly... I don't enjoy attention (which is why I like being behind the camera!). I grew up on Long Island and moved to Virginia after I graduated college. I started my business over 10 years ago now (wow!). Photographing people and their connections with each other is a passion of mine. I love creating a story out of images.
I have two beautiful daughters, Janie and Gigi... and Janie actually took this photograph of me when she was just 5 years old :)

I am a mother. I am also someone who is deeply in love. This is why both motherhood and wedding photography are a passion of mine. I have experienced both. I know how to preserve those moments. I know what to look for...
I look for a story. I don't arrive to your family session or wedding day with a set list of "must have" images. I am constantly observing and looking around for small yet important details... details that create your story.
A story that your grandchildren will be able to look back on 50 years from now. A story that brings you back to that moment in time.

Cozy sweaters, vintage demin, and Pabst while telling one of a kind love stories. The trials and tribulations of love, joy, and happiness. Lastly, champagne brunch and avocado toast while surrounded by the finest exposed brick, dreamcatchers, and maps to our souls. Dreamcatchers, macrame and 100 Days of Summer. Anthropologie trips and walks on the beach, love letters and secret admirers. Fall breeze, flannels, and hot cocoa. Whales and dinosaurs and handmade crafts. Salvage denim, antique leather bags, and the first time we watched Moonrise Kingdom.
